We begin a new Summer Series taken from—Psalm 119, Trusting What God Has Spoken. Join us this Sunday as pastor Glenn kicks off the series with an intro from the first 8 verses of Psalm 119. Psalm 119 marks the longest chapter in the Bible at 176 verses and is unique in the way it is arranged. Made up of 22 stanzas, each stanza contains 8 verses, and each verse in a stanza begins with the same Hebrew letter. For example, all 8 verses in the first stanza (vv. 1–8) begin with Aleph. Our summer series will feature 7 stanzas from Psalm 119 all pointing us to Trusting What God Has Spoken in His Word about Himself and His plan of salvation! This Sunday, we follow up on our Hebrew series with a single message on the theme of—A Royal Priesthood, All Access • All Sent. After a deep dive into the Old Covenant's sacrificial system and the role of the High Priests, we learned that under the New Covenant we have a Great High Priest who is Jesus Christ our Lord! As a result, we now have direct access to the sanctuary and our High Priest today! This coming Sunday we'll learn about the 'Priesthood of All Believers,' and discover our key identity as part of the Kingdom of God and our role as we serve our King! This Sunday, we conclude our series Letter to the Hebrews—An Unshakeable Kingdom. Join us this week as we conclude our time in Hebrews with the final Chapter 13. Once again, and for the last time in this letter, our unknown author will show us his shepherd heart and in three very distinct ways. After the bulk of the letter focusing on showing his audience that Jesus is better than everything they ever had in the Old Covenant and Judaism, as well as exhorting them to not drift or fall away from their faith, his conclusion focuses on the most practical ways in which they are to continue and finish the race well.
