Sloth is beyond the word “laziness.” But it exposes more of what is in our hearts. The REAL condition of our hearts.

We lose sight of our focus and purpose because of this silent killer. And if slothfulness continues in our ways, we may eventually engage in wicked behaviour that may result in personal ruin.

Don’t let laziness steal your passion, dreams, and purpose in life! It's time to get back up again!

Gluttony is the most acceptable sin these days. It is the OVERINDULGENCE or OVERCONSUMPTION of just about anything. So Church, let us not take light of this sin for it is just the equal of all other sins. Let’s be mindful that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit so let’s be a good steward and take good care of it.

A lot of issues in the heart will be exposed through our series “The Seven Deadly Sins”. To start of with the deadly sin of Lust — Do you want to overcome this sin but it’s making you a hard time? Part 2 of our Restoration of Joy (The Joy Found In Obeying The Scripture) series reminded us that the Lord wants to  RESTORE our OBEDIENCE to the Holy Scriptures and that we will find JOY in obeying the laws of God.

In the midst of trouble or sin, what do believers need to focus on to restore their JOY?Our joy comes from a source which cannot be touched by the world. It is NOT a shallow brief emotion. It comes from a deep down confidence that our life is in God, knowing that He lays up the treasure of joy in heaven through the sacrifice of Christ!

As we embark into our journey as Christians, we must learn to leave the shallow waters of our past, and be willing to launch out into the deep waters of our future—fully surrendered to the directions of our Captain, JESUS! — Have you been living in shallow waters? Well, the Lord is calling you right now to launch out into the deep! 🌊

It can become so easy for us to get wrapped up in all the things we need to do that we lose sight of what the MOST important thing is—sitting at the feet of Jesus. — Ask yourself, “Am I a Mary or a Martha when it comes to my relationship with God?”
