The Rocket Punch Show

You had to know what we were talking about this week! In this latest episode, Will, Cameron, and Chris(!) sit and break down everything we know about Google Stadia, the latest project to bring game streaming to the masses. What do we think about the service? Do we think this will be a game changer for the gaming industry as a whole? Could this affect future competitors like Microsoft and Project xCloud? Come listen to what we think here!

This week on the Rocket Punch Cast, the team sit down and talk ALL about The Division 2! After getting some good hands-on time with the latest iteration of Ubisoft's military-style live service shooter, Will and Cameron discuss what has impressed them about the release so far, some of the stumbles they have seen, and also ask what other games in the genre, like Anthem and Destiny, could learn from The Division, for better or worse!

As fans of geek and gaming content, one of the most fantastic events that we feel we get to participate in are conventions. Yes, there have been conventions WAY before our crowd started hosting them, but it has always been great to get out from behind our mics, and experience this culture with other like-minded people at large venues each and every year, all while checking out the latest and greatest in games, movies, TV, and more and meeting the actors and entertainers who help make those creations possible. We at Rocket Punch have been to a multitude of conventions since we have started, including BlizzCon, PAX, DragonCon, and more, but one that we have been especially fond of is one home grown right here in our hometown of Huntsville, AL. So when we were given the chance to talk to the creator of this local con, we couldn’t pass up the chance!

One aspect of becoming content creators, especially within the last few years, has been the numerous opportunities we have discovered for charitable efforts one can help support. Yes, we do participate in Extra Life every year, but as we have continued to make podcasts and videos for the community, we have also found MANY more noble endeavors from others working to assist people in need with the power of gaming, community, and more, and it has been one of our big pushes to help in any way we can with these efforts. But one of the many perceptions we had, as we also saw with others on the internet, with supporting charities was that we thought we had to be big creators ourselves to truly make an impact, and after learning more about all of the many institutes available to assist, their processes, and especially after this Creator Spotlight, we have realized that anyone big or small, can work with these companies to help support their causes, so that is exactly what we did!

This week on the Rocket Punch Cast, Will and Cam group up to have an honest discussion about their first impressions with Anthem, the latest game from Bioware. With the multitude of mixed feelings over the internet on the title's release, the team talk about what Biioware got right and what they got wrong with their game, and give their impressions on how they are feeling with it so far.

A new contender for the Battle Royale genre has entered the ring and could shake up the status quo once again! This week, Will and Cam take a look at Apex Legends and discuss the game's incredible success, all while asking: Could this game, after one week on the market, be the Fortnite killer??

We are back with the Rocket Punch Cast this week, and we have a LOT to discuss! In this jam-packed episode, Will and Cam discuss the overall plans for Rocket Punch going into 2019, detailing what will be changing and what new things to expect! Plus, the crew talk about the recent financial woes of GameStop and ask a simple question: If we were the CEO of the company, what would we do to turn things around and get GameStop on the right track?

A new year brings with it new resolutions, new chances, but also a chance to reflect on the games from the prior year! Come listen, as this episode includes the crew's conversation on who wins our "Game of the Year" award!
