One of the most common and HONEST reasons why there can be a DISCONNECT between the words we say and how we live our daily lives is that sometimes what Jesus asks of us IS HARD!!! But wht does Jesus ask such hard things from us? Because his vision for our lives is to experience a deep transformation. And it's in listening and following his leadership, even when it's hard, that we experience our most significant growth.

God's vision is for your life to be "beautiful music"  as a result of listening and following the leadership of King Jesus. But what if the "piano" of your life was "missing keys?" How would the music sound then? Often, those "missing keys" are areas in our life that we are holding back or choosing not to place under Jesus' authority. In this message we unpack the importance of having the truth of our hearts be revealed by Jesus, and wrestling with the question of, "how will I respond to the truth?"

We have to start with acknowledging that there is often a disconnect between our verbal commitments to Jesus, and our daily actions. But instead of falling into guilt and shame, this "wake up call" is a powerful INVITATION from the Holy Spirit to experience significant transformation through being taught, one day at a time, what it genuinely means to live a More Than Words life.

In this message we talk briefly about the "perfect donut," AND...we look at the Apostle Peter's charge to share Christ THROUGH the way we choose to live our lives. Peter teaches us that one of the most important and effective ways to share the Gospel is by choosing to LIVE OUT the Gospel out in our everyday lives. For this message we jump ahead to the letter of 2 Peter. The Apostle shares some STRONG words to protect us from "false teachers." A false teacher is anyone or anything that wishes to lead us away from true identity; who Jesus really is and who we now are as a result of the resurrection. False teachers are all around us and the sneaky thing is - they're often not obvious to see. So Peter gives us some essential ways in which we can be ON ALERT and discern what is a lie and what is true.

The word, "HOLY" is common around church, religion, and even curse words. Everyone has heard it, but the million dollar question is...what exactly does it mean? As we continue in the letter of 1 Peter the Apostle teaches us that "holy" is far bigger and deeper than we often realize, and makes a significant impact in our real, every day lives.
