Anaheim artist Villiami returns to The Rodriguez Show to talk about the momentum he's been building onstage, online, and in his hometown.

We get into the viral response to his "Squabble Up" remix, his growing connection with the Polynesian community, and how his Tongan, Samoan and Mexican roots have shaped his identity as an artist. For Villiami, it's about making music that highlights what makes him different instead of trying to sound like everybody else.

Jules Santana Velazquez joins The Rodriguez Show to talk about the creative work happening behind the scenes in Anaheim. As a Creative and Events Coordinator for Downtown Anaheim and the Anaheim Farmers Market, Jules helps organize community events, creates content, works with local vendors, and is now working to bring more live music and performances to the Farmers Market. We get into her creative work with local artists, from shooting and editing content to graphic design, event curation and branding. Jules explains why hip-hop has driven so much of her creativity, how she approaches building a lineup, and why she only wants to put her energy behind artists and projects she genuinely believes in. Jules also takes us back to interviewing Big Boy while she was still in community college, organizing through Si Se Puede, joining Titan Radio and Hip Hop Heads at Cal State Fullerton, and eventually realizing that events and creative work could become a real career. Plus, she shares her dream of creating an art installation at a music festival and gives artists some simple advice for making better content: figure out who you are and why people should care.
