We are in the dog days of summer with the longest day of 2024, summer solstice this week,
Parts of the country are under water, many are dry as a bone and some are having a normal turf season. Let us know what weather you are having in your area so we can discuss over the next few weeks!
We are officially in the 100 days of hell for cool season turf. Some areas of the country are having too much rain and other areas can't get a sprinkle.
Red thread, drought stress and incorrect turf cutting has opened up a can of whoop a** on the turf. Doug and Kevin talk in depth of what they are seeing in their turf as well as what is being reported back to them.
How can it be June already? We are hearing about LOTS of red thread out on the turf as well as very dry soil conditions. It looks like we could be entering a dry spell with the long-range forecast showing a dry summer from the Midwest to the Eastern seaboard.
This week we sit down with Jonathan Powell from Making Solid Ground out of Coram NY. Jonathan has had the entrepreneurial drive from a young age. Thanks to the strong women in his life that raised him. His grandmother instilled not only his amazing work ethic, but his desire to help and better every person he comes in contact with. Jonathan drops some amazing knowledge bombs that we can all prosper from! We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did!
