The Bible says that we are all aliens in the land, we are foreigners to this temporary world. Because of that, God calls us to live differently than one who is from here. As followers of Christ, people should be able to look at us and know that there is something different about how we live our lives.

Two of the things that Jesus regularly beat up the religious leaders on were their dirty hearts and their clean hands. The leaders were selfish and worried only about outwardly appearing clean. For us to continue to be the healthy church that we are we have to be the opposite. We must come to God with a pure heart and go to people with open hands.

This week we take a look at, and follow the Greater Example! What is the next step as we focus on the Greater plan that God has for our lives?

This week we talk about changing how we see things. Letting God give us His greater perspective on our situations.

Pastor Russ talks about, in order to stay on the GREATER path, we need to stay humble, stay sharp, and don't stay down!

The greater life rarely comes down the path of least resistance. No matter how tough times get, we need to persevere and have Faith in God! It's easy to have Faith when everything is going well, the true test is continuing to have Faith when times get tough. It says in John 16:33 – “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

God has a "Greater" plan for all of us personally. We need to seek Him to find out what it is and let Him inspire us to do what He has called us to do.

Trevor talks about having a Higher Calling, committing with a Deeper Surrender, and finding a Greater Purpose, but that means you have to close those doors to the past.

This week we kick off the Series Greater! It's all about John 14:12 and the Greater things God can do through us.
