In this episode I talk to Birgitte Gorm about the bright and the dark side of spiritual communities. Birgitte is a clinical psychologist, phD, on of Denmarks most senior yoga teachers and ordained zen monk and on top of all that she has first hand experience with the dynamics of a spiritual cult. In this honest conversation we explore why the spiritual practice is so intimately connected to community and how community is best nurtured. We then move on to defining the cult and she help us to spot the red flags when the community is turning into the cult. Finally we explore how to bulletproof any culture from the cultish.

In this episode I talk to Sofus Midtgaard who over the past years successfully have gathered +120 men for a weekend of facing their shadows, sharing their vulnerability and also lean in to their more feminine qualities. Sofus is also behind the social app Dinnr that makes strangers meet for dinners in their private homes, while exploring topics  like jealousy, loneliness, etc. The talk is filled with insights and field notes into what it takes to gather, how to get people to lean forward.
