Emma and Madeline are back to chat about the beginning of the regular season. We chat about the Cubs' slow start, the insanity that is Shohie Ohtani, and Emma makes a huge announcement: she is now a David Bote fan. Oh, and she's playing college lacrosse next year.
In honor of Women’s History Month, Emma and Madeline are back with a HUGE episode of WOMEN IN BASEBALL. We’re thrilled to introduce Hampton University softball player and 2014 Sports Illustrated Sports Kid of the year: Mo’ne Davis! Mo’ne took the mound at the 2014 Little League World Series, where she became the first girl to throw a shutout and the first African American girl to compete. We get into the LLWS experience, Mo’ne’s time as an Anderson Monarch, life after Little League, the significance of identity in sports, attending an HBCU, and much more.

It’s been a while. Emma and Madeline, like all Cubs fans, have taken an emotional beating over the past weeks. In this episode, we finally address the Darvish Caratini trade, Schwarber and Lester signing with the Nationals, and other chatter from a stove that just keeps getting hotter. Special thanks to our extremely professional research team for being on call and offering additional information throughout the episode.
Let's face it, it's not easy to be a Cubs fan right now. Between saying goodbye to Darvish, Caratini, and likely Schwarber and seeing Contreras rumors flying about, Madeline and Emma think Cubs fans could use a break. We're here to distract you from all that pain with some lively baseball trivia featuring 12 other incredible Omega editors and a special guest appearance from Madeline's mom!
Featuring (in order of appearance): Claire Gorey, Sam Bull, Maggie Ward, Timmy Ryan, Amelia Carlson, Emma Gramm, Vanessa Lopez, Olivia Shirk, Gretchen Lucina, Maeve Dietrich, Kate Gross, Nolen Stevens, Sarah Schallmoser

Last Friday was a huge day for women in sports, and Madeline and Emma are here with a special episode to tell you exactly why that is.
Madeline and Emma are coming to terms with a disappointing end to the Cubs' season, but the changes coming this offseason are guaranteed to make Madeline cry AGAIN. Friend of the pod and Trojan varsity first baseman/pitcher Matt Schellbach is back to discuss our dream must-win line-ups. We couldn't end this episode without discussing DGN's homecoming festivities (will Emma win homecoming royalty?!) and sharing some rather unpredictable screen times.
Editor's note: Madeline and Emma would like to extend an apology to Matt for talking over him constantly. We plan to send him a virtual fruit basket in an attempt to make amends.

The first few innings of this podcast are pretty standard, but by the 7th inning stretch, it’s clear that Madeline and Emma are using their second-string brains today. After a weekly recap, we take our best swing at some postseason predictions and talk screen time. In our most immature episode to date, we deliver in the potty joke department like Anthony Rizzo does at the plate.
*Disclaimers: The postseason brackets we used were “If The Postseason Started Today” as of September 25th. Neither Madeline nor Emma passed gas in the recording of this episode.

Matt is thrilled to return to the pod in the future and shave a few minutes off his screen time.
