Today's topic is all about manias. We visit a handful of them as they went down, dating back from hundreds of years ago to ones we're going through as you read this message. We examine the causes, catalysts, bursts, and aftermaths of some of the largest speculative bubbles we've seen.

Will humanity ever learn from these bubbles? Are they an uncontrollable byproduct of innovation? Why do we keep running into this roundabout? In today's episode, we'll be diving deep into all of that, and more.

Our planet seems to be on the brink of yet another World War, cementing the fact that we as a species don't learn much from history.

Naturally, we'd assume that a lot of the contributing factors to our current state are new, ones that we'd never come across.

However, what if I told you that today's wars are fought over the results of the last war, a chain that can be linked all the way back to the formation of our civilizations?

In Today's episode, we will look at exactly this; what got us here, and what we can keep in mind to break out of this roundabout.
