In Senegal on the eve of Y2K, an idealistic Peace Corps volunteer survives a mysterious car accident. It is drawn from interviews with displaced people and personal stories of our international performance collective and performed in masks. Peregrination uses the poetic, metaphoric language of the masks to explore shared experiences of journeys across borders.

We love the next generation of stars and we found one in Lumi Pollack! She already has a big ole hit on her hands starring in "Autumn & The Black Jaguar!"

AUTUMN AND THE BLACK JAGUAR has already grossed over $20 million dollars worldwide following its release in global territories like France, Germany, and New Zealand.

AUTUMN AND THE BLACK JAGUAR follows Autumn (Pollak) who, having spent her early childhood in the Amazon rainforest, formed a friendship with a jaguar cub she named Hope. Now a teenager in New York City, she learns her childhood village in the Amazon is under threat from animal traffickers, so she decides she must return to the Amazon to save her beloved jaguar. Anja (Bett Rickards), her endearingly clumsy biology teacher, learns of her plan and attempts to dissuade her, but ends up joining her on her journey to reunite with Hope and save her from those who seek to destroy the rainforest and its wildlife.

In making the film, the filmmakers used real jaguars to play Hope. The jaguars were rescued from wild animal breeders, taken care of by on-set animal coordinators, and now live in an animal sanctuary. Before filming began, both Lumi Pollak and Airam Camacho, who plays Young Autumn, spent about a year playing and imprinting with the two jaguars to build the bond you see between Hope and Autumn in the film.

Director Gilles de Maistre sees this as a film that can speak to children all over the world and shine a light on the issues of animal trafficking and deforestation in the Amazon. In the film, Autumn is only a teenager, but de Maistre believes this story can inspire other young people and spark real change.

Émilie Dequenne is a FORCE! She is here to talk about her amazing new thriller "SURVIVE" now on-demand and in theatres! This is an edge of the seat thriller you must see! Talking to her, I was in awe of her career!

At just 17 years old, she landed her first role in Rosetta by the Dardenne brothers, earning her the Best Actress award at the 1999 Cannes Film Festival, while the film itself won the Palme d’Or.

In 2001, she appeared in Christophe Gans’ Brotherhood of the Wolf, alongside Vincent Cassel, Samuel Le Bihan, and Jean Yanne, and won the Female Newcomer Award at the Cabourg Film Festival that same year. Over the years, she has taken on lead roles in socially driven dramas such as The Girl on the Train, Not My Type, This Is Our Land, and The Brigade.

At the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, she won the Best Actress award in the "Un Certain Regard" category for her role in Our Children, a film by Joachim Lafosse that tells the tragic story of a woman who kills her four children.

In 2021, she received the César Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Love Affairs by Emmanuel Mouret, after four prior nominations across categories including Most Promising Actress, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Actress.

Throughout her film career, Émilie Dequenne has worked with renowned directors such as Philippe Lioret, Claude Berri, Catherine Corsini, Yves Lavandier, André Téchiné, Eric Rochant, Marc Fitoussi, Albert Dupontel, Pierre Jolivet, Lucas Belvaux, and Lukas Dhont. In 2022, she received another Magritte Award for her performance in Close.

Even on the musical front, the trio does not stop: after the release of Ad Astra (International Edition) - the new international version of the latest record project, enriched by five new tracks including Capolavoro (English Version) - the new single Tra le onde (Epic Records/Sony Music Italy). Written by Stefano Marletta and Michael Tenisci and produced by Michael Tenisci and E.D.D., the track draws us from the first notes into a dreamy atmosphere through an intimate piano base reminiscent of the embrace of a calm sea. The intensity grows as the strings rise like stormy waves, until it explodes in the refrain where the voices of Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble intertwine creating a perfect harmony.

We have the one & only award-winning musical storyteller Ari Axelrod here! His new album A Place for Us: A Celebration of Jewish Broadway will be available on CD and digital formats on Friday, January 17, 2025. Featuring a 13-piece orchestra arranged and conducted by Mike Stapleton, with additional arrangements by Larry Yurman, A Place for Us tells an unforgettable story of a community’s survival built on courage and the yearning for “peace and quiet and open air… somewhere.” Axelrod will celebrate the album release with a special concert at New York’s 54 Below on Saturday, January 18 at 7:00 PM. The Broadway musical as we know it would not exist without the generations of Jewish songwriters who brought not only their talent but their heritage and perspective to their art. With A Place for Us, Axelrod has gathered a collection of this cherished work through which he finds healing and a sense of home and community, echoing the refuge generations of Jews have sought in the American theater. This new album adapts and expands upon the one-man show he’s performed to raves across the country (called “genuinely one of the finest shows I’ve ever seen” by BroadwayWorld), building on his deep connection to this material and his own Jewish heritage. 

Weaving together a century of songs from the likes of Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Stephen Sondheim, Mary Rodgers, Jason Robert Brown, Adam Guettel and many others – including Cole Porter, a gentile who said the key to hit songs lay in writing “Jewish tunes” – Axelrod creates a stunning tapestry of the Jewish American experience, from immigration and assimilation to activism, faith and family, revealing in exquisite detail how Jewish liturgy and culture were transformed into a popular music beloved by all.
