Sermon on The Spirit-filled Wife.

“Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.“ Ephesians 5:22-24 NKJV

A Sermon on Ephesians 5:22-24

The Speech In Our Marriage:

1. Tells us how spiritually mature we are.

2. Comes from the heart.

3. Should speak life to our wives.

The Spirit-filled husband lovingly leads by conviction. Ephesians 5:15-17, “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.“

A Spirit-filled husband is a loving leader. He loves his wife with a singular love, a saving love, and a sanctifying love.

“ I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.18 For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. For your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise as to what is good and innocent as to what is evil. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.” - Romans 16:17-20

“And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.” - Ephesians 6:4
