Clarinettist David Singer on humble roots, 36 years with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and playing at the White House.
David Singer has had an exceptional musical career playing for decades on world-class stages, but his life's story is one of humble roots, grit and determination, and at one time, he had three jobs to provide for his family. David Singer has performed many times in Carnegie Hall including a chamber music performance, a trio, with the iconic violinist Yehudi Menuhin, and pianist Gyorgy Sandor. He was a principal member and soloist with the Grammy Award-winning Orpheus Chamber Orchestra for 36 years and is featured on many of the group's 70 CDs on Deutsche Grammophon. He also played at the White House in separate performances for Presidents Carter and Clinton.
His story-filled book, "From Cab Driver to Carnegie Hall", is more than a musician's memoir; it is an inspiring narrative that resonates with anyone who has faced life's challenges head-on. An ode to the power of never giving up and giving oneself every chance to succeed. David shares in his book stories of performing with: Yehudi Menuhin, Yo-Yo Ma, Itzhak Perlman, Rudolf Serkin, Andre Previn, actress Stockard Channing, Pablo Casals, Branford Marsalis and more.

RJ Stewart on developing and writing Xena: Warrior Princess, Remington Steele, The Rundown, and his novel Crazy Hawk.
RJ Stewart is the author of his recently released post-apocalyptic thriller, Crazy Hawk, but he is best known for developing, writing and producing Xena: Warrior Princess (starring Lucy Lawless), once the highest-rated television show in syndication. RJ started out as a teamster for nine years and a fledgling stage actor, until he got his first break, writing for the NBC romance, detective drama starring Pierce Brosnan, Remington Steele. It would parlay into a 22-year Hollywood career that includes writing credits for movies The Rundown, starring Duane "The Rock" Johnson, Major League 2, starring Charlie Sheen, and television's Cleopatra 2525. He also worked on projects with Kevin Costner, Rebecca De Mornay and James Garner.
Stewart was born in Brooklyn, New York, but has lived most of his life in the American West. His youth as the son of an Air Force sergeant was spent across six states and Greece, Italy, and Germany. These days he lives on a San Diego County horse ranch with his wife of 51 years, Kat O'Connor. Various horses and dogs have been kind enough to share their ranch with R.J. and Kat, including Danny, a beautiful palomino who inspired the creation of the buckskin character in Crazy Hawk, his first novel.

Aaron Burrows on losing 175 pounds through running, surviving a workplace shooting, and returning to run marathons for charity.
Aaron Burrows spent his formative years in Houston, Texas where in 2009 he graduated from The College of Biblical Studies. At nearly 400 pounds and unhappy with his health and appearance, he turned to running and lost almost 100 pounds his first year and 75 pounds over the next 4 years. While preparing to run a 50-mile ultramarathon in November 2015, Aaron was the victim of a workplace shooting. Aaron fought to stay alive after being shot 5 times while saving his coworkers' lives. Debilitating PTSD would stalk him forever. What was he to do? How could he avoid a minimal life? He returned to running in 2019 following grueling physical and emotional therapy and has completed several marathons, and raised tens of thousands of dollars for charities since.
