Clusterfest is a comedy festival that is put on by Comedy Central June 1-3 i SF.

He is the creator of the podcast radio show Help Wanted.

The book is entitled You Bet Your Life: How I Survived Jim Crow Racism, Hurricane Chasing, and Gambling.  It's autobiographical, and it describes three paths in my life and how they intersect:  1. Growing up poor in the old racially-segregated South;2. Rising to prominence on national TV at Good Morning America;3. Dealing with and finally defeating a 30-year compulsive gambling problem.

Left Bank Brasserie in Larkspur, in association with Book Passage bookstore and the Cooks with Books program, will host a Thursday, April 19, 2018 dinner with Jacques Pépin, the author of A Grandfather's Lessons: In the Kitchen with Shorey.

Taste of Bunche is Saturday, May 19th at Ralph J. Bunche Academy in Oakland 6 to 9pm. It is a fundraiser for the school's new production kitchen and the Bunche internship program. Leading the students are Chef David Isenberg, Bunche Culinary Program Director and Ms. Ester Richards, Bunche Director of HTR,  Chef Nora Dunning, Executive Chef of Drip Line Restaurant and Chef Lev Dagan of Le Cordon Bleu and instructor at Kitchen On Fire.
