I met Tunez at an open mic hosted by MadMinds - a community of New Jersey artists that come together to host performances, and allow anybody to showcase their talent.

Tunez had that artist energy when I met him. It felt like he was on a level of his own, and we clicked immediately. We've been in the studio with the same producers, but because our styles are quite different, Tunez asked me to play guitar while he rapped and sang at a show in February 2020. It was an experience I'll never forget.

On this episode, we speak about influences like Bob Dylan, and also riff on that idea of Tunez being in his own element. He tells us, "he's an average man that lives a not so average life." I believe him.

Stefano Selorio messaged me on Instagram 2 years ago to tell me he found my podcast, and to let me know he appreciated and enjoyed the content I was putting out. I had never received a messge like that from a stranger, so I was thrilled. Fast forward 2 years later and Stefano is somebody I talk to on a weekly, almost daily basis and over the last year we've forged a friendship around life, entrepreneurship and building a business.

Can you imagine landing your dream job without even applying online?

When I started my LinkedIn journey, I was happy to connect with Austin. I was working at a marketing company, but I hated my job. I would always enjoy reading Austins posts about job search tips, and how to land your dream job, not just some position to pay the bills.

Fast forward 6 months and I quit that job, pivoted to podcasting full time and interviewed Austin about his company, Cultivated Culture. He created the business to help regular folks land dream jobs - I'm not talking the 4.0 Harvard grads, I'm talking the 3.4GPA state school type of people. What he was doing stood out to me.

I originally found Travis Chappell on his own Instagram advertisement for his podcast launch company. I sent a direct message asking to interview him, he obliged and since the recording of this podcast I've connected with over 15 different people in his, "Build Your Network" Facebook group - the community he started while deciding what to do after a career in door to door sales.

Travis is the first person I've met that went to all levels of school on the same campus; from kindergarten to college. He's from a Christian background and left the pre-determined path of ministry to pursue a calling to help others and generate income in the process without a 9-5. It's people like Travis that make us realize it's possible to do what you want, without having to sacrifice freedom, family, or money.

Travis is an entrepreneur, investor, community builder, podcaster and more recently, founder of Guestio - a better way to find and book guests for your podcast.

- "Goodnight" by Samad Savage

Samad Savage is one of those artists that just has 'it'. The it-factor that only some people have, and you can't put your finger on why.

I first met him at a Mad Minds Artist Showcase event last year, and his energy was palpable on and off the stage. When I spoke to him for the first time he had no idea who I was, and he still treated me with the most respect. I reached out later in the year to do the podcast and he was immediately down.

Samad is one of New Jersey's biggest artists with 40k+ fans and now, his track "Goodnight" has garnered millions of plays online along with his full length albums. They say a song is not great without an incredible performance and man, does Samad put on one hellavu' show!

On my podcast we spoke about his childhood, and how it influenced his songwriting, his experiences with police, and his willingness to be open about his religion. I could not have been happier with how this episode turned out.

Aaron Rhaney, known by his stage name Rhaney Daze has been consistently growing as an artist over the last 3 years. He's a rapper and producer from New Jersey. Originally pursuing a career in golf, Rhaney was at the top of his game when leaving high school and afterwards played at Jackson State; an HSBCU in Mississippi.

According to Patch.com, "In 2009, Rhaney qualified for The U.S. Kids Teen World Championship at Pinehurst No. 8 and competed in the Garden State Challenge Cup representing the Bergen Pioneer Tour. He also finished second in the Bergen Pioneer Tour Player of the Year point standings in 2009 and 2010." But ultimately, it was not golf that fueled his desire to be known and heard - it was music.

Aaron began learning music production and recording in college, and ultimately became a recognizable figure in the New Jersey hiphop scene, garnering 10's of thousands of plays off of just 10 singles.

On this episode, we dive into his creative process, the attention to detail that characterizes every release, and the stigma that surrounds African Americans in a time where the country was so divided. Please enjoy this episode of BopCast with Rhaney Daze.
