Tulane Camille returns to the podcast to talk about Tulane baseball and the Cardinals as we get ready for Opening Day.

Earlier this morning, I stated on Facebook that I had no opinion on the Will Smith slap. My reasoning was based on nuanced thoughts and not emotion. After seeing everything, I decided to weigh in and share my thoughts on the matter this evening. 

I knew in 2019 Penny wanting all the smoke before the 2019-20 season was going to backfire for Memphis basketball. Once he said that, it opened the floodgates for criticism from opposing fans as well as those in the know in the world of college basketball. When the report came out today about the program from the NCAA, it rehashed those same thoughts from a few years ago. On this emergency episode I share my thoughts on the news as well as call out Vol fans who are having amnesia about what happened with their basketball program before Rick Barnes got there. 

For almost three years, DJ LizE was my radio neighbor on WTUL. On the first episode under the new name of the podcast we talk about radio in the city and the upcoming WTUL Marathon, our first in-person marathon since 2019. 

Seven miles downriver from me last night, a massive tornado swept through parts of St. Bernard Parish and the Lower Ninth Ward. During the taping of this episode I received numerous text messages and DMs to check on my safety on last night. For that I am grateful.
