A repeat theft suspect is in custody after a brazen retail theft in Sacramento County.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested 33-year-old Anthony Eastman after he allegedly stole merchandise from a Harbor Freight Tools, left the store, then returned and stole more items.
Deputies located Eastman nearby with the stolen merchandise and drug paraphernalia. A records check showed he was on probation with three outstanding warrants.
Store employees report Eastman had stolen from the same business six times in the past three weeks, with losses totaling several thousand dollars.
Eastman was positively identified and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail.

The Sacramento Fire Department is celebrating 176 years of service to the Capital City.
The department traces its roots to February 5, 1850, when residents formed the first volunteer fire department in the western United States.
Fire Chief Chris Costamagna says the department remains committed to saving lives, protecting property, and honoring a long-standing legacy of public service.

The Rancho Cordova Youth Center has released its Winter and Spring program guide, featuring free after-school and specialty programs in sports, STEM, arts, and leadership.
Participation is exclusive to families living within Rancho Cordova city limits or students attending Rancho Cordova schools.
Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
