An update this morning to a deadly house fire in Arden-Arcade.
Fire officials confirm two people were killed in Tuesday night’s fire near Watt Avenue and William Way.
Crews were dispatched around 10:15 p.m. and arrived to find heavy fire conditions at the back of the home.
Firefighters initially located one person deceased in a bedroom. As crews continued searching the residence, a second person was found dead inside.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
A jury has convicted Diamond Moore of second-degree murder and attempted voluntary manslaughter in a 2023 gas station shooting.
Prosecutors say Moore shot and killed one man during an argument, then shot the victim’s brother in the head. The brother survived.
Jurors also found firearm and great-bodily-injury enhancements true.
Moore faces up to 73 years to life in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for March 27th before Judge Steve White.
