North Highlands Homicide Investigation Sacramento County sheriff’s detectives arrested Alfredo Garcia, Federico Farfan, and Hector Medina in connection with the September 6 homicide of an adult man found inside a home on Lenore Way. All three were booked on murder and conspiracy charges.

Sacramento Police Gang Enforcement Operation Sacramento Police say a September 9 directed-enforcement operation resulted in seven arrests and the seizure of four firearms during stops in the El Camino Avenue, Truxel Road, Fairweather Drive, and Northview Drive areas.

Today: two Sacramento Police assault arrests, a sharp weekend cooldown, $1 million for homelessness services, a county holiday closure, and three local weekend events.

NEWS

On Arden Way, police say a victim was stabbed during an altercation. The injuries were non-life-threatening and a suspect was arrested.

Later, officers responded to 14th Avenue after a suspect allegedly brandished a firearm during an argument. The suspect was detained and booked.

Sacramento Mother Convicted in Baby’s Death + Oak Park Black Film Festival Continues

A Sacramento County jury has convicted Kristina Huemann Siedlecki of second-degree murder in the death of her 8-month-old daughter, Jannah. Siedlecki faces 15 years to life in prison, with sentencing scheduled for October 23.

California corrections officials are investigating the death of an incarcerated man at California State Prison, Sacramento, as a homicide after an attack Tuesday morning.
