This Valentine’s Day, Sacramento County is helping residents find a different kind of love — their soul dog.
The shelter is launching “Swipe Right on Your Soul Dog: Foster Week,” allowing participants to foster a matched dog for one week before deciding to adopt.

This month’s theme honors Black History Month with trivia focused on Sacramento’s Black leaders, stories, and legacy.
Check-in begins at 6:30 p.m. Trivia starts at 7 p.m.
Cost is $10 per person, with prizes for the winning team.

Sacramento Valley Agriculture is now on view at the Viewpoint Photographic Art Center.
The black-and-white photography exhibit runs through Saturday, February 7th.
Gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday.
Admission is free. The exhibit reflects on how agriculture has shaped and transformed the Central Valley.
