Teen shot in south Sacramento

Sacramento Police are investigating after a teenage boy was shot Sunday afternoon in the 20 block of Restoration Court. Officers responded just before 5:45 p.m. and located a juvenile male in his late teens suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital. His condition has not been released, and no suspect information is available at this time.

Deadly overnight shooting under investigation

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting in the 4400 block of Auburn Boulevard. Deputies say a man and woman were shot while getting into a rideshare vehicle after leaving a large gathering. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and the man was transported to a hospital. The rideshare driver was not injured. Detectives have conducted more than 60 witness interviews as the investigation continues.

Sacramento County Behavioral Health Services is asking for public feedback on its draft Behavioral Health Services Act Three-Year Integrated Plan for fiscal years 2026 through 2029. The plan outlines how funding will support mental health care, substance use treatment, housing services, and workforce development. A public hearing is scheduled for March 18 during the Behavioral Health Commission meeting.
