Sacramento Police are investigating a tragic vehicle vs. pedestrian collision on Elder Creek Way after a 4-year-old was struck by a silver SUV and taken to UC Davis Medical Center in critical condition.

Later that evening, Metro Fire responded to a two-car crash on Whitney Avenue, sending one person to the hospital in critical condition. The cause remains under investigation.

Police also made an arrest in a stolen classic car case near Ramona and Cucamonga Avenue after locating several suspects and recovering the vehicle.
