I know the subject of goal-setting can be divisive or even triggering for some but it’s my belief that that comes down to your perspective on goals. Goal setting is often over-romanticized, probably because of the accompanying dopamine it can create, when in reality goal setting is really just making one big to-do list. So, here’s my breakdown of what I do every year when it’s time to make that list, I discuss:
* How my perspective on goal-setting changed from formless to directed.
* Why it’s not enough to just visualize success.
* An idea for making goal check-ins fun.
* Picking out a “WOY: Word of the Year” with examples.
* Picking out a “POY: Person of the Year” with examples.
* Why creating steps to reaching your goals are so important.
