We continue our Podcats series with Building The Salukis around the newest members of SIU Men's Basketball. Next up is incoming transfer Quel'Ron House, who is coming off a strong freshman year at Jacksonville State. Averaged 8.4 points, 3.0 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game as a freshman at Jacksonville State. He made 22 starts at guard while shooting 40 percent from the field, 36 percent from behind the arc, and 82 percent from the charity stripe. He helped JSU to the NIT second round after defeating Georgia Tech in the opening round of the tournament, averaging 12.4 points during JSU's postseason run.

We continue our Building The Salukis Podcast series before Summer Access for SIU Basketball with incoming freshman Jalen Haynes! He Averaged 17.1 points, 5.0 rebounds assists, and 3.6 assists per game at Hebron HS, while also being named to the 6A All-Region Team, South Texas First Team All-District in 2023-24. In post grad, he helped lead Sunrise Christian Academy to the National Tournament and averaged 15.2 points per game with the Buffaloes. He shares what he is like away from the court and why he wanted to be a Saluki.

We continue our series of Building The Salukis for the upcoming season! This new Saluki has maroon in his bloodline, as Caden Hawkins is next up in our series! Hawkins in transfers in from nearby John A. Logan College. He averaged 7.9 points per game and 4.1 assists per game. His father, Shane Hawkins, played basketball for SIU from 1995 to 1998 and is the school's career record holder in 3-point shooting.
