This sermon explains various theories of the atonement and reveals that "Jesus Christ and Him crucified" is the meaning of all things, the plot to every movie. It is also the meaning and plot to our lives. And so through faith we can live with Easter courage even in this Friday world.

We're called to carry Christ's cross and to die daily. Jesus conquered death and now He reaps the harvest of this world. We are no longer to live in bondage to the fear of death.

The crowd always chooses the Glory of Barabbas. Don't follow the crowd. Follow Jesus. Jesus Christ and Him crucified is the revelation of glory.

One surrendered to grace, and one did not. God empties us that He might fill us with grace. Don't despise the emptying and break the vessel.

Don’t be left behind now as Christ and His kingdom come now.

The transition from the old covenant to the new covenant is like going from paint by numbers to a blank canvas. It's scary but good. God asks us to paint the beautiful thing--His heart, body broken and blood shed.

The strange woman gives herself to a person not a purpose or a cause. She gives herself to Jesus and Jesus gives her gift meaning.

The strange woman is the church. Her glory is that she reflects the glory of her bridegroom--in a word, mercy.
