In this podcast David and Lamont remind me that we can actually overcome the systematic oppression caused by those very same things.

Lamont challenged us to to think about our Gifts and not just any gifts, but the ones we don't always use. From ADHD to lack of inspiration...get to the root of our lack of productivity. In the end we decided we needed accountability and made a plan!

In this Episode we discuss whether or not men read, why men read and other gender and racial stereotypes that surround reading in general. we share our favorite books and the memories that shaped the readers we have become today.

This episode is a continuation of the last episode. In this portion of the discussion we talk about the data and the racial disparities in education. We also tackle various ways to help our young people fall in love with reading and some strategies that we were taught that could help close the learning gaps.

How do you feel? What do we do? and What do we say to our black sons? Those are questions asked and answered on this episode. These are our real, raw and relevant reactions to the current state of our nation. While we may fight differently, it is important to always reflect together.
