Hello SatsMate Crew, 

We are seeing the euphoria increasing as prices get higher in Bitcoin and crypto as a whole. 

People naturally are drawn into the gains, and many people start to question why can't other coins flip or pass Bitcoin up. In today's podcast, I try to discuss these points and lay out why this isn't as viable. 

-It happens every day when new projects come out
-The concept is pure, as with other coins, founders dump bags on retail
-Countless attempts to recreate Bitcoin
-Nobody stops you from creating your own, but who will follow?
-Out of the altcoins that have come, which ones have had good track records?
-Could it happen? Maybe - it's unlikely. 
-Network effects are powerful, it's important though for Bitcoiners to continue learning about how to strengthen the base layer
The base layer is so important in Bitcoin, interesting developments over the past couple of years regarding ordinals

Overall nothing is new here! Now many projects will tout how they are AI-focused, how they are looking to change the world and change finance forever. In the end, these projects are often sold as snake oil. Anyone can copy Bitcoin code at any time, the big thing that Bitcoin has is the pure conception and the network effects on a bedrock foundation.

Nothing is too surprising here regarding the passing of the latest spending bill of the $1.2T Spending Package! While it is unfortunate, in today's podcast I go over potential solutions and lines of thought we want to accustom ourselves to. 

In this podcast specifically, I go over the important talking points of: 

-When will the madness of spending end?
-The government is now funded until 10/1/2024, kicking the can down the road
-They say neither side got what they wanted, but in reality, they got what they wanted, the American people didn’t get what they wanted
-On a Gold Reserve or a Bitcoin reserve currency, you couldn’t just this stuff as easily, as if you don’t have the coffers, you can’t go into debt! 
-In the end, we need to reduce government spending by cutting government programs, getting rid of regulation, increasing production in the U.S., and taking actions to lean us towards a budget surplus, not a budget deficit

What are your thoughts to the government's nonstop spree of going into debt to pay bills? Are there any fixes to this? Do you think Bitcoin fixes this to any capacity? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Countries around the world are adopting Bitcoin at a faster rate than the U.S. from a merchant point and why is that? In today's podcast, I try to explore reasons why this is happening including: 

- Tax Rules, Tax Rules, Tax Rules
-  A  starter kit for those who want things 
- Questions on questions despite a sea of resources out there
- Individuals don't know many things like the marketing, tax implications, technology, and regulatory implications
- Cash on hand to meet operating expenses (Needs to be a treasury solution)
- Needs to be something to explain to a 2-3 year old
- Solutions must be made for larger sum lightning transactions (Above 2M Sats - Inbound/outbound liquidity)
- Self Custody needs to be turnkey (Block)
- Square Terminals/CashApp and Blocks New Bitkey... There needs to be more competitors and products
- You can't help everyone, kits need to be made ready for those who are open to learning and willing to adapt
- Businesses want ease. They want to focus on the products in front of them, not deal with money
- Selling businesses the opportunity for a harder treasury solution while saving on tx fees could be a big win!

In the fiat system, we live in, incentives are completely backward and often even rewarded. I am a millennial who is frustrated seeing where our country is headed, and by fixing the money, many of these issues we see day in and out can also be fixed. 

We need to see a move to a better system, and I think that could be Bitcoin. In this podcast I discuss the following important topics: 

- Warren Buffet and others found front-running
- Senators and congressmen make $175K a year and are worth several hundred million
- Homes across the U.S. are all 40% overpriced, sitting vacant, and being bought up by hedge funds hollowing out the middle class.
- Incentive structures are broken across healthcare, all types of insurance, HOA and Taxation
- Short-term gambling is incentivized over long-term prudent investing 
- Creating a society of junkies chasing fiat gains, over long-term approaches
- A real decline can be seen, but can this be better?
- How Bitcoin can fix these different avenues!

Every day it is easy to turn on the news and see the neck-snapping appreciations in Bitcoin. The rise of this asset is causing heads to turn all around the world regarding the potential of this future world reserve asset. 

In the end, it is important to not let the short-term gains and media hype get to us, rather it is better to keep a level approach anchored to knowledge and understanding of the asset. 

In today's podcast, I go over some very important topics regarding FOMO and keeping a level head. These topics include: 

- Understanding Bitcoin on a deeper level - and continuously studying the asset
- Knowing many people often get into things when the hype is high (and the price), but ignore when the hype is low (and the price)
- Look at NVIDIA, GameStop, Tesla, or any investment, people always are talking and hyping the euphoria but it is dead silence in the bear markets
- Bitcoin meetups and Conferences are often dead compared to during the bull markets
- Price rises can keep people out, but many times, the price dropping keeps people out as well

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the inflow of FOMO and people who have been on the sidelines for the last couple of years! What are your thoughts on the boom/bust cycles we see amongst investors in this asset class? 

When everything shakes out, I think it is of high importance to be in this for the right reason, not just for fiat gains, or cause we are rich on paper. Rather we are here because we believe this asset will change the entire world.

Hey SatsMate Crew, 

As time passes, we see individuals owning fewer things and large multinational companies/private equity firms are becoming more and more valuable. 

I don't see this trend reversing because many companies have built wide moats around their business to keep their strides strong and continue growing at the expense of nothing else. 

In the end, self-custody is critically important, but also we must do what we can to try and own things outright in this world. We often make payments on so many things, and in the end, we end up with close to nothing. This is a sad way to live! Specifically, in this podcast, I discuss the following topics: 

- Property taxes and people "owning their home", the reality of home ownership
- 12 words being banned and what ownership is
- Subscription models on everything, having no ownership in this world
- Homes being bought up by private equity companies that bow down to shareholders and the dollar
- Debt-based slavery
- Taxation of the middle class
- Everything is designed to break in the consumerist society we find ourselves in
- Media companies normalizing the ownership of nothing and the renting of everything

What are your thoughts on the ownership of things? Are you fine owning less and less, and letting large private equity firms buy everything up?

Overall these are some of the biggest misconceptions I have heard of over the past couple of weeks and years as people first enter this space. 

In the end, we need to do our best to study this asset, and understand that nothing is perfect - it is we humans that do good work to try and optimize the assets and the world we live in.
