For the first time in a long time… maybe even as long as the show has existed we missed releasing an episode for all of you on a Monday. 

With that in mind and our apologies please accept this experimental content delivery system where we split one episode worth of content into two separate parts. 

As it says in the Title this is Part 1 of 2 and focuses mostly on how we spent our Thanksgiving vacations including the brief time that we got to spend together IRL.

Now that Devon has seen all three films that comprise his perfect trilogy of movies for the 2025 it is time for us to dedicate an episode to discussing them, and what better place than in this excused absence episode, that also sees us discussing other recent films we viewed and examining the nature of biopics

With the unexpected usage of their Time Capsule episode last week. The Say Reporters are working double time to get the ship back on course. Which basically translates to taking this week’s episode back to basics with a two topic journey. 

Topic One is the films that your host-companions choose to watch in that weird time between the end of the Halloween season and the proper beginning of the Christmas/Holiday season

Topic Two is a game that both Reporters have been playing followed by a discussion about the beat ‘em up successor to Shredder’s Revenge that has captured their imaginations.

We start the episode discussing the outcome of the 2025 World Series and the MLB season as a whole and even find a way to relate it to our usual topics. We also share our latest video game experiences and have a fairly indepth discussion about anime phenomenon Chainsaw Man!

In this very special episode we celebrate a unique 40th anniversary by examining yet another Zack Snyder film the 2009 adaptation of Alan Moore’s historically “unfilmable” comic serial Watchmen.

In another excused absence episode of The Say Report your reporters take the time to unpack all of the things they did over the past few weeks including the movies they’ve seen, video games they’ve played, and television shows they’ve endured.

The Say Reporters embark upon a new adventure on the Road to Reubens and the eventual coverage of Mystery Men for its 30th anniversary and of course they start are the most logical of places by celebrating the 40th anniversary of Pee-wee’s Big Adventure

We bring Saturday energy to this episode that sees us addressing the episode topics we delayed a week ago by pivoting to an episode all about the 1995 film Casper

That means we finally get to talk about Devon’s cinematic experiences with “One Battle After Another” and “Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie,” The Sonic Crossworlds Racing Homework we completed but never turned in, and the latest update to TMNT: Splintered Fate.

Alongside that is new topics including Devon’s experience trying to correct a shipping issue with NECA that happened via Wal-Mart’s website and Sejohn accidentally trolling the ENTIRE Decker family by asking them to watch a specific episode of American Dad with an eye for reference to a particular Pixar property.

Both of your Say Reporters had topics to discuss this week, but things ended up getting changes at the last minute when one of them realizes the film “Casper” is so in the wheelhouse of Say Report topics that it would be wrong to discuss anything else after they both watched it this past week. 

Hopefully we’ll remember and discuss those preempted topics this way next week, but for now enjoy this episode where we not only celebrate the darkness of the piece but also do our best to determine the actual date that Casper McFadden passed away.
