The bulk of this episode is spent discussing the 2026 Supergirl film and trying to figure out why people seem to have been so offended by the film, when both of the Say Reporters really enjoyed their time with it. 

Surrounding that is are some lovely discussions about our experiences with Early Access Video Games, the various adaptations of Batman, specifically The Joker that we have seen in recent entertainment, Rhode Island Bigfoot Sightings, continuing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle victories, and the latest PC Recompilation of a game that had Devon smiling from ear to ear. 

The Say Report is back to being recorded during its usually scheduled time and after clearing some initial hurdles Devon and Sejohn are back into their old grooves discussing their experiences with popular culture and the world over the past week. Including but not limited to sharing those moments in their employment histories that radicalized them, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles observations, and their own Odyssey’s that led them to experience Christopher Nolan’s Odyssey during the past few weeks. 

After finally having a mystery that has plagued Devon solved, The Say Reporters are back in the studio to for a  state of the union episode where we deliver discussion on various topics near and dear to our hearts.

The future of Daylight Savings Time and the Sunshine Protection act some sneaks its way into the first slot, then Sejohn takes the conversation to the movies to discuss the differences between satire and the newly minted bit of Say Vocabulary “Fratire” with his deeper exploration into the horror cinema of the 1990’s through the Leslie Nielsen lense with a particular focus on Dracula Dead and Loving It and Repossessed

Devon uses this as a spring board to discuss his interaction with modern cinema with viewings of the Live-Action “Moana” remake and David Wain’s latest film and Sundance darling “Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass”

Then it is off to the realm of the small screen where Sejohn has continued his odyssey through the realm of adult animation from the 2000’s with a stop at Superjail and Devon expounds upon the start of his journey to rewatch The Adventures of Pete & Pete with the Shorts and Specials from the early days of Nickelodeon. 

The final stop is video games where Sejohn has rejoined his in progress trek through Batman: The Telltale Series and Devon has just embarked on the master quest Adventure 2 of Diddy King Racing and both agree that when Nintendo meets Monopoly the winner is the player. 

Things are returning back to normal at the Say Report and we couldn’t be happier as we embark upon this final stretch of road to episode 500! 

It is another excused absence episode and we are taking this opportunity to finish off the Tom Arnold Trilogy from 1996 by celebrating the 30th Anniversary of “Carpool” which saw Tom paired against David Paymer is a buddy-road-heist comedy the likes of which the world has never seen before or since. 

Will rounding out his three film year give us a new found respect for the actor or will we finally understand why Sejohn’s parents had already gotten off the Tom Arnold train by the time his pedestal year of 1996 had arrived.

In this latest excused absence episode The Say Reporters are taking a trip to Nantucket to celebrate One Crazy Summer with their friends Hoops McCann, Cassandra Eldridge, Ack Ack Raymond, George and Squid Calamari, and The Stork Twins that time they tried to save Cassandra’s Grandfather’s house by creating and mounting the greatest media blitz in the history of the island before having to pivot and win the Annual Nantucket Regatta. 

All of that was happening while trying to avoid crossing the path of a giant rabies infected dolphin, painfully setting up a plausible scenario for Godzilla to terrorize the town, win a million dollars from the local radio station, and doing their best to avoid adding yet another film to the Doug Neidermeyer shared cinematic universe.

This episode The Say Reporters are elated to wish Mel Brooks a Happy Hundredth Birthday and that energy can be felt throughout the entire affair. 

Whether it is discuss old episodes of Aqua Teen Hunger Force that YouTube’s algorithm has decided to recommend in the strangest ways possible, the completely insane marketing campaign for Tom Cruise’s latest film “Digger,: Devon’s endorsement of “Supergirl” and “Toy Story 5” as films worth seeing, Sejohn getting real deep about the nature of parody films and why “Scary MoVIe” felt like such a return to form, and mode a wedding can put a person into whether it be a close friend’s or a celebrity’s like the rumored one that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will be having in New York City next weekend!

It has been three years since our last very special episode that focused on a film about the X-Men and Twenty years since the film we are discussing released which means it has finally come to this a Very Special Episode celebrating the 20th Anniversary of X-Men: The Last Stand. 

This core memory in the bonds of friendship that represents the Say Reporters allows for exploration of the entire X-Men franchise as a whole and the lessons that could have been learned by other franchises out there that seem to have been ignored. 

The entire episode culminates in Devon telling a personal story about the three to four hours before he first got to see this film in theaters and how that galvanized a majority of his life choices going forward. 

Proving that X-Men: The Last Stand despite its flaws and rightfully warranted criticisms from the fanbase can still teach everyone a lesson or two about not only entertainment… but themselves. 

This week’s episode has us taking a look at the world around us and taking stock of how things have changed in our lifetimes and what that may mean for the future. 

Then once they’ve shared the titular sobering epiphany the Say Reporters talk about the video games they have been playing to from Devon and his time with “The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales“ to Sejohn finally going back and cleaning up his playthrough of “Batman: Arkham Origins and the duo’s future plans for to put “Double Dragon Neon’s” 14 year old online co-op mode to the test.

Devon shares his experience on the planet Eternia and the stomach virus he caught while visiting as Sejohn opens up about his exploration into the ever growing acceptance of Slop content on the internet. 

They both let some negativity flow from them as they admit their feelings about the current state of the world but are able to reel it in by the end with a discussion about their wins with video games and the things that were able to focus on that helped joy shine through. 

It is another excused absence episode of The Say Report so we are continuing our examination of the Tom Arnold Trilogy of films from 1996 with the John Landi direct adaptation of Harry Allard’s children’s books “The Stupids.”

The Team does their best to recount the frankly insane plot and then examine why this is another checkmark in the loss column for Tom Arnold and attempt to discern a pattern as to why this seemed to keep happening to him thirty years ago.
