The Scarlet Spotlight has a packed show to wrap up August with Episode 36. First, Danny and Jon are joined by Rutgers football offensive coordinator John McNulty. In his second stint with Rutgers, John discusses his coaching career in college football and the NFL, his memories from the Greg Schiano era at RU and his thoughts on the 2019 Scarlet Knights offense. After McNulty walks down RU memory lane, he lays out what Rutgers fans can expect in this year's quarterback competition. In the second segment of the podcast, NJ Advance Media's Keith Sargeant and James Kratch join for a roundtable to go through the entire Scarlet Knights depth chart, ticket sales news, media access to camp and more. Danny and Jon close out the show recapping the interviews, going over RU men's hoops' trip to Spain and RFund's "The Bells Must Ring" initiative.

The Scarlet Spotlight welcomes former Rutgers men's soccer head coach Bob Reasso to the podcast for Episode 35. The Loyal Son of Rutgers and RU Hall of Famer took the Scarlet Knights to three Final Fours and 13 NCAA Tournaments during his 29 years On The Banks, including the 1990 national title game. Reasso discusses his RU tenure, post-Rutgers career and coaching U.S. national team legend Alexi Lalas. For the first time, Reasso gives details on his dismissal from the head job in 2010, and comments on how soccer and football can coexist at Division 1 universities. The Scarlet Spotlight welcomes Hall of Fame head coach Theresa Grentz to the podcast for Episode 34. The longtime Rutgers women's basketball coach led the RU program for 20 years from the mid-1970s to the mid-1990s, mentoring some of the best players in RU history. Grentz discusses becoming the first full-time, women's basketball head coach in the nation, headlining doubleheaders with the men's program at the RAC and fighting for equal opportunities for her players. She touches on the coaching careers of her graduates, and the work ethic she tried to instill in her team en route to the 1982 AIAW national title. Hobbs gives a year in review for RU athletics, and discusses the CSS report his department commissioned in 2018.
