Kim Harvey is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and currently resides in Delaware with her husband Sylvester “Ty” Harvey, Jr. Kim has worked 30 years in the telecommunications industry at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies, Alcatel-Lucent, and currently Nokia. Her experiences include Systems Engineering, Operations Planning, Product Management, Market Development, Technical Sales, and Supply Chain Management. Kim holds a Bachelors in Mathematics and Computer Science from Xavier University of Louisiana, a Masters in Computer Science from Howard University, an Executive Development Certificate – Marketing (Wharton School of Business), a Sales Forecasting Certificate (Sales Forecast Institute) as well as graduate coursework in Christian Counseling at Cairn University.
Kim attends The Resurrection Center (Wilmington, DE) and serves as a Deacon, Daughters of Excellence (DOE) Women Ministry Leader, and EMERGEnce (College Prep) Ministry Leader. Kim is passionate about enjoying family and friends, traveling, spending time at the ocean, event planning, teaching, and attending cultural/theatre events. Kim’s personal life theme is “Decided Joy.” In spite of people, circumstances, and situations, our joy is from above. Her personal motto “Each day is a GREAT day! The present of TODAY is a gift. We are to open each day with expectation and excitement. Each day is what WE make it!”
