A number of Massachusetts school districts are requesting waivers after the Commonwealth's Education Commissioner ordered elementary and middle school students back to full time in-class learning by the end of April. Meanwhile a number of state lawmakers, with support of the teacher's unions, are filing emergency legislation to give schools more time to re-open and make sure staff have COVID vaccinations.
