The Sci-Fi Wise Guys

We continued #JTROJuly with FP2: Beats of Rage! Back to back, beat to beat. Is AK-47 the true foe JTRO must defeat? Join the Sci-Fi Wise Guys as we journey to the Wastes and back for Beats of Rage!

We watched the ultimate cult classic film, The FP! One town, two gangs, four feet, and some Beat Beat. Our podcast hosts take on a film revelation. From the mind of Jason Trost, we usher in #JTROJuly with the film that started it all.

We revisited filmmaker HaZ in 2036: Origin Unknown! Katee Sackhoff and artificial intelligence ARTI (clever) discover something on Mars. This story peaks and valleys like the red planet itself. If you can tell you're in a Turing Test, is it a good Turing Test?

We watched the short film Black Angel! What's with the British Isles and women near bodies of water? Join us on a quest with this formerly lost short film. Once shown before Star Wars, now available on YouTube!

Join the Sci-Fi Wise Guys are we go back to the past and reminisce about our favorite and not-so-favorite media from our first year! We give out awards and list our top 5 in several categories. We can't thank you enough for tuning in each week!

We watched the Russian "Avengers" movie, Guardians! When a former scientist from the USSR returns and takes over parts of the Russian military, the only ones that can stop him...are well.... superheroes that he created!

We watched the comic book adaptation movie, Jiu Jitsu! It's Predator vs Mortal Kombat in this movie with Nicolas Cage on the poster. Come listen as we breakdown this action packed confusefest!

We watched Boss Level! Hulu offers up an interesting take on the "Groundhog Day" formula. All action and replaying the same day doesn't stifle this Frank Grillo vehicle. A cast full of surprise stars also fills in the gaps on what might otherwise be a derivative mess.

We watched the Nic Cage horror/comedy movie, Willy's Wonderland! Nicolas Cage comes quietly with his podcast debut. Grand conspiracies and fun horror tropes deliver us from Willy. Whatever you do, don't stay overnight in a family fun center.

We watched the new Netflix zombie flick, Army of the Dead! Zack Snyder blesses us with another zombie movie to pay homage to his directorial debut. Why are all the characters idiots? Bad decisions and great action highlight this trope filled heist film.
