1. We started out by talking how the 2022 season was a disappointing way to end this summer countdown series after winning the Mountain West title the year prior.

2. We discussed the early 1-4 skid with the warning signs as early as the Week 0 win over UConn. The losses included being shut out at Alabama, embarrassed 35-7 to Weber State, the first loss to UNLV in almost 15 years, and a loss to BYU in Cooper Legas’ first career start.

3. We then discussed how the Aggies rebounded and went 5-2 down the stretch to become bowl eligible. Despite the loss in the First Responder bowl, this was a nice way to end the season which is comparable to when Blake Anderson’s Arkansas State team lost to FCS Central Arkansas but still found a way to turn their season around.

1. Our decade of the Mountain West continued as we discussed the quick start for the Aggies as they searched to pivot from their poor performance the previous year.

2. We then discussed the close wins and ugly losses and debated at which moment we believed that skill had more to do with this team’s success than luck.

3. Finally we talked about the importance of that first football Mountain West Championship, LA Bowl Game win and #24 final AP Top 25 ranking.

1. We first set the scene of this season in which the Aggies played in front of a reduced crowd during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.

2. Sam McConkie talked about some frustrating plays and highlighted how the decision to recruit Jason Shelley resulted in Henry Colombi entering the transfer portal. That proved to be costly for Gary Andersen.
