Guns. Explosions. Witty One-Liners. It’s time to put action movies through The Screen Test!

Joe, Clarisse and BBC Radio 1’s film critic Ali Plumb are facing off to convince Jack why their movie is the best.

Clarisse says Mad Max: Fury Road is such a masterpiece that she cried when she first saw it, Ali thinks there’s no better action movie star than Keanu Reeves so John Wick is the obvious choice and Joe reckons The Raid 2 is so good, every other franchise has stolen ideas from it.

What film gets your vote?

Next week, we're joined by YouTuber and gamer Elz The Witch to decide the best video game adaptation of all time. Will it be a flawless victory for Mortal Kombat or will Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and Detective Pickahu level up to be crowned the winner?

What is the one fantasy film to rule them all between Harry Potter, The Lord of The Rings and Pan's Labyrinth? That’s what Jack Howard has got his fellow muggles Joe, Clarisse and returning guest Bamalam to battle it out over.

The Prisoner of Azkaban opened the door for Joe to fall in love with the world of fantasy, Bam thinks every scene in Return of The King is better than the last and Clarisse believes Guillermo Del Toro is the granddaddy of fantasy, so Pan’s labyrinth deserves to be crowned the best fantasy film.

What film gets your vote?

Next week, Radio 1’s Ali Plumb dukes it out with the gang to decide the best action film of all time, between John Wick, Mad Max: Fury Road and The Raid 2.

La La Land vs. Whiplash vs. A Star Is Born

Singer/Songwriter dodie is joining Jack Howard, Clarisse Loughrey and Joe Ikhinmwin to decide what the best music film ever made is, inspired by Prime Video’s new release; the Oscar nominated Sound of Metal starring Riz Ahmed.

How will La La Land rank against A Star Is Born and Whiplash? Well, Dodie thinks La La Land should win because it’s just so damn magical, Clarisse argues that the 2018 version of A Star Is Born is the best out of any of the iterations because of Lady Gaga’s powerhouse acting and Joe is here to explain why JK Simmons was justified with his unorthodox teaching methods in Whiplash.

Who will win? It’s time to face the music and find out…
