    With spring training coursing on as we inch closer and closer to the start of the season, yesterday the Astros took on the Washington Nationals down in West Palm now for a second time. Falling short 6-3 in their first meeting to a shutout 3-0 win yesterday afternoon, the Astros look to be piecing and meshing things together as we continue to roll on through the spring games.     With spring training rolling on yesterday afternoon the Astros took on the Mets for a second time now, in which they were victorious in with a final score of 8-5 down in West Palm. One name who had themselves a marvelous afternoon yesterday was none other than minor league prospect Cam Smith. The third baseman had a phenomenal game following with two hits, two home runs, and three RBI's all helping the Astros close out the game with a win. Noting Cam's age and infancy in the league and after his game yesterday, lots of chatter has begun in regards to the young third basemen getting a shot at the big leagues.     Looking back on the 2024 MLB season, an interesting note has been made about the entire league which seems to have raised a few eyebrows. There were only a total of 28 complete games in the 2024 MLB season making that a record low since the year 1975. Referencing former Astros pitcher Nolan Ryan and how he finished his career with a total of 222 complete games 38 of which were with the Astros, Sean and Brian pose there may be a development issue regarding the pitchers around the league following majority of frontline ace starters, can only pitch half a game. Taking a moment with callers and aiming to identify what's been the trending issue, the guys share a few ideas on what may has caused such a drop in this specific category in baseball and how does the league go about fixing the issue.

    With spring training games underway now, the Astros took on the New York Mets, Washington Nationals, and the St. Louis Cardinals over the course of the weekend showcasing a bit of their new talent and prospects acquired from the offseason. After the Astros spring game against the Cardinals yesterday afternoon in which they were victors in, the Cardinals have circled back around trade talks with the Astros regarding their All-star third baseman Nolan Arenado. Declining a trade earlier in the offseason during the legal tampering and free agency period Nolan blocked the trade to Houston although, talks have begun again surrounding the topic of Arenado's next destination.
