The SeanGeek Podcast

Seanorama gets passionate in this episode as he reviews the lackadaisical and weak poor character arcs that flowed through Graeme Simsion’s The Best of Adam Sharp, the famous author behind the Rosie Project and Scar Tissue, the biography on Anthony Kiedis. He finds redemption in the Russell Brand interview on Joe Rogan’s podcast, local Winnipeg music and especially on the Village Idiots’ Live At The Roslyn.

We’re posting this one a little early because I have a hectic weekend. In this episode, Seanorama and Todd Fastfretfingers went out and did some VR --- Virtual Reality at DO VR and have some discussion about the experience.

Seanorama and brother/bandmate Todd Fastfretfingers talk about their Dome show at the New Club St B this past Fridays. They talk about the venue, the amazing sound by Michael Daher, and the bands that shared the bill: Quoth the Sun and Willswitch Engage.

Update: Apparently the New Club St B is no more and we were the last show. Very sad news indeed.

Quoth’s next show here: “Join Ramskull, Five Hundred Pound Furnace and Quoth The Sun on December 8th as we spend the evening remembering and celebrating the timeless legacy of Dimebag Darrell as well as raise awareness for Schizophrenia and PTSD.” Great cause great bands. Please go check them out.

Due to some technical glitches and a poor audio quality on the last upload, I have joined the two part interview with Danny as a full length intyerview with the man behind the guitar.

Danny Roy is the guitar slinger for Thunderfunk, former multi-instrumentalist for The Divorcees and the Melanie Morgan Band, bass player for Love Guns, and current guitar tech for Gordie Johnson from Big Sugar. The two get down and deep about the music industry, the east coast of Canada and the Scene.

To quote Jack Black: is it, in fact, unfair to criticize a formerly great artist for his latter day sins, is it better to burn out or fade away?

Seanorama struggles with the sins of the present as Todd Fastfretfingers convinces him of the validity of the past Van Halen collection despite their current struggles through a re-introduction of Diver Down. That’s right, a trip down the greatness that was Van Halen and how revolutionary those first Van Halen albums were, and how relevant they still should still be.

“Phil Lord and Chris Miller fired from Han Solo movie.” Todd Fastfretfingers plays Headlines with Seanorama as he provides his opinion on Lord and Miller being let go of Disney/Lucasfilm’s Han Solo movie and their replacement by Ron Howard. Todd is NOT a Star Wars fan, hasn’t seen the Lego movie, has no connection to the headline, has never heard of the directors but DOES know Ron Howard. Nonetheless, provides an honest interpretation of the headline without reading the article. You will be surprised at his candour, smarts and perspective. Todd is a wise man.
