Samantha Demboski is an improv and sketch comedian, fringe theater artist, and all-around mostly reasonable person. She is a founding member of groups Fifty Percent Less Bear and BEEF!, the creator/producer of NASTY Improv, and is half of the writer/director/performer duo behind This Is My Dinner–the performance-art-dramedy-musical hitting your hearts and minds in 2018. She has also performed with Being Humans, Specific Northwest, and IMPROVATRON, and has talked about doing stand-up for a long time but keeps finding reasons to not try it. She is just now noticing how many of these names are in ALL CAPS.

When it came to connecting Lake Washington, Lake Union, and Puget Sound, engineering genius Hiram M. Chittenden developed a system of locks that is a modern marvel.

Caitie Auld majored in Theatre at the University of Puget Sound and since graduating in 2010 she’s galavanted around Seattle doing fringe theatre. In 2014 she co-founded the all female sketch comedy group Day Job and they have been writing and performing in comedy festivals across the country.

In 1935 young George Weyerhaeuser was kidnapped walking home from school in Tacoma.  Over the following days the wealthy lumber family scrambled to meet the ransom demands and get him back safe.

Jeffrey Nickels is a Seattle-based sketch comedy and fringe performer. He produced Ubiquitous They Sketch at the University of Puget Sound, and since moving to Seattle has written, directed, and performed for Part Plant, 50% Less Bear, Specific Northwest and Time Bath. He is also the producer for SketchLAB!, and works with the Pocket Theater in Greenwood. He loves local history and is very happy to be here.

Gay country and western band Lavender Country released their first album in 1973.  Despite brilliant songwriting and musicianship the band never achieved mainstream success due to their defiant and “out” content.

John Wachter is a local actor/improvisor. He can be heard weekly on podcast IMPRV news 9 at 8. after relocating from the midwest he performs with Jet City Improv from time to time. He also performs often with the comedy duos  “Rage Baby”  and “Dueling Danjos”.

In 1980 Mount St. Helens erupted, shooting ash all across the world.  While most panicked, one strong willed resident refused to leave.

Emmett Montgomery is a comedian/storyteller who was made in Utah but has lived in Seattle for most of the 21st century and been failing beautifully on and off the stage for over a decade. When he is not wandering the country telling jokes and falling in love with America, he produces local shows that focus on building community, pushing the limits of what it means to be a performer and celebrating the unique beauty of the city he lives in (Weird and Awesome with Emmett Montgomery, The Magic Hat) Emmett was part of the top 100 in NBC’s Last Comic Standing Season 9 (2015) and was voted Seattle Weekly’s Best Comic of 2015 and named one of City Arts Magazines Artists of 2015. Has performed at festivals across the country including the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Sasquatch Music Festival and the Women In Comedy Festival and can be heard on nationally podcasts like Risk! (storytelling) , Put Your Hands Together (jokes) and Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction (gross) and has worked with famouses and brilliants like Maria Bamford, Dave Chappelle and TJ Miller. Mr. Montgomery tells jokes from his heart, usually his heart is full of hope but sometimes it is full of spiders.

After his marriage fell apart in Ohio Dr. David Swinson Maynard headed west on the Oregon Trail to get a fresh start in California.  On the way he found love, changed course, and helped found the city of Seattle.
