May 19, 2023 5. Frozen Baby Food, a Donut, Some Breathe Tea, and a Whole Lot of Cover-ups.
The podcast has been recorded, this one anyway... others haven't yet, but some have. Pete started reading The Moon is a Harsh Mistress and gives a rundown on the first few chapters with all the blackface and chauvinism. It does have a bunch of stuff about revolution, so that's cool. Robert Heinlein wrote Starship Troopers. Kids shouldn't work. They also shouldn't be victims of gun violence. We speculate on who we think will win Succession even though we've only seen the first 2 seasons. Tupac may have shot himself in the wiener.

We talk about how much we love watching rich celebrities get paid to go on themed vacations. Did you know that there are more than 500 albums in the music world? Well, there are and we are listening to a list of 500 of them that Rolling Stone said were the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time... and getting pretty close to the end. Hear what we have to say about all those musics. Pete plays protector of the pops and stops Mj while she talks until the filter can stop each and every pop. We ate cheerios and they were made out of hearts... I think.

Pete and Mj rocking that mic again to bring you another fantastic episode of the Second Letter Podcast. Have you ever pondered the value of silly? How about meditated, have you meditated about the value of silly? Well, Pete and Mj did it so you don't have to. Every year there's a three week period where every kid is obsessed with yoyos and jump ropes because the school made the watch an assembly of cool teenagers jumping rope and yoing yo. Think back on your youth, the yoyo you'd use usually ushered by young yammering yelps of yearning, y'member? Well, those yoyo and fundraiser assemblies were usually a big old marketing gimmick aimed right at the captive audience sitting criss cross apple sauce in an elementary school lunchroom. Pete has some thought about marketing to kids. Don’t forget about pop culture! Listening to this episode will have you knowing just what Pete and Mj were watching back in July… It was probably Stranger Things, but it definitely wasn't Denver the Last Dinosaur.
