What does it mean to have “Fundamental” conversations, and why should we focus on doing so? As a general rule, I like to try and understand the best arguments for both sides of any issue. I grew up exploring and inquiring about a variety of worldviews, and since we’ve been discussing Christianity a fair amount recently, I wanted to flip the script today and share what I think the best argument is for believing in atheism (from a Christian).

One of the questions I asked my parents a lot growing up was, “What is the meaning of life?” It’s a tricky question to answer with lots of different views. One day, my father gave me his answer: “To help minimize the suffering in the world.” On this episode, I address this proposition, why I think it is sorely wrong, and consider a better way to contextualize and understand suffering in this life.
