The second film adaptation of James Thurbur's short story saw Ben Stiller both as it's star and director. Mitty harshly divided critics, earning equal praise and scorn. Despite appearing on several top ten lists for the year, it also was harshly received by half of the critics that reviewed it at the time, scoring a 51% on Rotten Tomatoes.
