Earth's moon is a peculiar thing. We take it for granted and make elementary assumptions about its history, makeup, and its countless anomalies. However, there is no solid theory on how it formed, its physical composition, or how a 'natural body' can be both hollow and have mass concentrations of heavier material on the surface rather than at the center.
