The Pima County, AZ, Democratic Party decided to celebrate the 4th of July with an ‘f**k the 4th’ party. The National Archives celebrated by placing a ‘harmful language’ alert on documents like the U.S. Constitution. Charges are levied against the Founding documents and their authors over slavery, racism, sexism, bigotry, and the like. Words and statements are totally removed from context. For example, words like ‘men’ refer to ‘man’ and ‘mankind’ which includes both sexes. The 3/5 Compromise certainly declared blacks as being counted as that percentage but only because slave owners wished to count them as full citizens for more representatives in Congress despite only considering them property otherwise. History preserves, but revisionist pseudo-intellectuals and anti-Americans ignore that whites were lynched, blacks owned slaves and plantations, along with businesses, and freeing slaves was considered a dangerous practice to the former masters. White mobs would hunt down these former owners just as the KKK would hunt anyone adhering to principles of equality. A more perfect union was only achieved because large factions of the people recognized the turning tide against slavery in all its forms - conditions that had existed for thousands of years - and did something about it even when such actions were dangerous. The experiment of a democratically run republic is not harmed by slavery and racism but despite it; that in such times men realized their wrongs and took action to remedy them for ‘all men’. The American Revolution and Civil War not fought to preserve slavery but to obtain the conditions in order to eliminate the institution. Otherwise, all men were created only to be equally cancelled by a mob of ignorance.
