The Seeing Red Podcast

My instant thoughts on the Red Storm finally landing on Mike Anderson as its next head basketball coach.

Both Chris Mullin and my voice are gone...but duty calls. Excuse my hoarse voice for 15 minutes as I give my thoughts on Mullin's departure as well as some potential replacements as the next St. John's head coach.

It's our first offseason episode in history and I'm joined by Zach Braziller of the NY Post to break down what's been a negative few weeks for St. John's. Shamorie Ponds has declared for the NBA Draft, while assistant coach and top recruiter Matt Abdelmassih has left for Nebraska. Hear Zach's thoughts on each of the departures, as well as an early lookahead to the Red Storm roster for next season.

The St. John's season ends how none of us wanted but most of us probably expected: a unceremonious and uninspired loss against a mediocre Arizona State team in the NCAA Tournament First Four. Thus ends what ended up being the most disappointing St. John's season in recent memory. I'm joined by John Cavanagh to break it down.

St. John's finally was able to beat DePaul this season. Raise the banner! Brendan Myers stops by again to help break down the Red Storm's Big East Tournament win in a special late-night edition of the Seeing Red Podcast.

I'm joined by bracketologist Chris Dobbertean of SB Nation's Blogging the Bracket as he breaks down the St. John's NCAA Tournament prospects. Find out where Chris has the Johnnies currently slotted and what he thinks needs to happen for them to move up, or come tumbling down the bracket on Selection Sunday.

After watching much of the game on my phone I'm not going to even try and recap another frustrating loss. Instead I give some quick thoughts on the St. John's hopes going forward in the Big East and NCAA Tournament.

St. John's no-showed and put up a second straight clunker vs Providence in the past 11 days. Maybe the Friars have the Red Storm's number, but the effort and discipline certainly weren't there tonight. John Cavanagh makes his return to the program and should receive some sort of award for still offering his analysis of this terrible performance.

I go at it solo for this episode to break down the Red Storm's stunning comeback victory over No. 13 Villanova at MSG. Full reaction and player breakdowns, plus what this means for the future of the program as St. John's appears to be firmly in the NCAA Tournament picture.

The Seeing Red Podcast Episode 19 is live breaking down the confusing St. John's overtime win over Butler with Brendan Myers. The Red Storm continues its roller coaster season but is able to pull out the dramatic win heading into Villanova this weekend.
