Start with a Happy New Year! Fun discussion about the concept of "renewing of the mind" and the sealing of God's people, as described in Revelation chapter 7. Grandpa Joe shared an analogy comparing the sealing process to canning fruit, explaining how it involves purification through trials. The group explored the difference between being sealed and the sealing process, with Jay emphasizing that the counterfeit mark of the beast involves the beast's character being imprinted on people's minds, contrasted with God's seal which represents His name and character being written in believers' minds. The discussion included several scriptural references including Ephesians 1:13, Ezekiel 9:4, and Jeremiah 31:33, with participants sharing personal insights about living out God's law in their hearts and minds. The conversation ended with an invitation to a local fellowship event at the barn and a reminder about the importance of daily prayer and living each day intentionally.
