A quote I really liked from this episode is "If you don't move, nothing changes". Every change starts small and is rarely perfect. But if you want change to happen you need to make a first step and give new initiatives a chance - because otherwise nothing changes.

The Story of LaLaLand
Just about a week ago, LaLaLand has been declared the winner of the 2020 Phillips Innovation Award.
In this episode I welcome their Head of People, Daniel Hugo to the Podcast. LaLaLand, has the aim to create a new nation of digital models, with the help of Machine Learning. This would dramatically decrease costs for retail stores and at the same time enable consumers to a more personalized shopping experience.
Why should you listen?
When the Cambridge Analytica Scandal got public, for many people ''personal data'', became something to protect and hold dear. As a consequence, many of us are sceptical and even at times afraid of the business of Data - myself included. In many cases it is not even clear why so much data is in circulation at this moment.
In this Podcast, me and Daniel are exploring the connection of Big Data and Machine Learning and try to give clarity on a topic that still seems very vague and yet so present.
Daniel is also giving voice to some interesting opinions, such as ''If I am being influenced without knowing it, am I actually being influenced? And why would this be so bad?''
