When You’re Carrying A Lot

A lot of people try to heal by sitting quietly with their emotions.

Meditation. Journaling. Just being with what they feel.

And those things can be really beautiful.

But if your body has been holding heavy emotional energy for years… sometimes just sitting there with it can feel like too much.

There might be 20 or 30 years of sadness. Disappointment. Stress. Old hurt.

That’s a lot for one body to hold.

So if you’ve ever tried to slow down and immediately felt restless… or uncomfortable… or like you needed to distract yourself…

There’s nothing wrong with you.

Sometimes there’s just a lot there.

Why Moving Energy Helps

One thing I’ve learned over time is that healing isn’t always about sitting there and holding everything.

Sometimes the body needs help releasing what it’s been carrying.

When emotional energy starts to move, something shifts.

Your body softens a little.

Your breath gets deeper.

And suddenly it feels easier to be present with yourself instead of feeling like you have to escape what you’re feeling.

The Long-Term Shift

The more you practice releasing what your body has been holding, the easier it becomes to actually be in your body.

Your emotions don’t feel as overwhelming.

There’s more space inside you.

And it becomes easier to sit with yourself without feeling like you need to numb out or run away from what’s coming up.

That’s the idea behind today’s Self-Healing Sunday practice.

It’s simple. Gentle. Just a way to help your body start letting go of some of what it’s been holding.

Sometimes when I tune into my soul and ask, “Who am I meant to help?”I hear the same phrase over and over:

“Boots on the ground.”

And the vision I always get is this map of the world lit up with little lights, not with gurus, just women who are carrying something sacred inside them.

Women who don’t always identify with the word lightworker, but are one… quietly, naturally, without even trying.

And maybe that’s you.

I loved the title Lightworker long before I ever felt like one.

When I first found spirituality, I was drawn to the word immediately.But the truth?My own inner light felt dim, like barely a flicker.

I heard that raising my vibration would help, so I joined a Meetup group called Raise Your Vibration.Every week, we did energy practices, meditated, and learned intuitive exercises.And I met the most soulful people who weren’t coaches and healers (yet) but knew they were meant to bring the light.

Here are 9 Signs You Might Be a Lightworker

1. You feel other people’s emotions deeply.2. You have intuitive hits, knowing, or psychic insights.3. You carry a natural wisdom that guides your decisions.4. You don’t need a certification to “become” a lightworker.

Because lightwork isn’t a job title…it’s a way of being.

It’s asking yourself…

How can I be the light at work or in my relationship?

How can I be the light in this comment section? How can I be the light when I show up for my business, my art, my videos, my clients?

Most of us are already doing these things…just sometimes with a dimmer switch on.

Sometimes our light begins to peter out because life starts life’ing, stress, trauma, and we unknowingly slip into survival mode.

I’ve found myself there a few times this year and one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is simply to check in:

Where is my light right now?Am I tending to it?Am I letting it shine in this moment?

Awareness is the first spark.And from that spark… everything else grows.

I’m not here to make you identify as a lightworker, even though we both know that you are…I’m just going to leave you with one question…

What would be different if you embraced that you’re here to be a light in this world and that a big part of your life’s purpose was to shine brightly for yourself and others?

Here’s your Goddess Wisdom for today

You can be angry for months and still convey your message calmly.

And here’s the thing, I’m not gonna make you read through 1,000 words before I tell you how to do it.

It’s simple.

Deliver your message when you’re calm.

That’s it. That’s the part most people skip.

The reason so many women struggle with getting their message across and being heard is because they try to do it while they’re angry.

And I get it, that’s when it’s easiest. When you’re heated, it gives you courage and energy, that’s why those strong words just shoot out like a rocket.

You can finally say all the things you’ve been holding in for months.

But that anger… anger’s fiery.And when you get too close to fire, what do you do?You shield yourself.

So when you come at your partner in anger, an invisible wall goes up around them.You could be saying the most heartfelt things, trying to explain how hurt or unseen you’ve felt but it’s not landing. It’s just bouncing off that wall, fading into space.

They might nod or even say “yeah, you’re right, I feel you” but a month later, you’ll be right back in that same argument.

Here’s the hard truth: once the fire fades, it takes real courage to sit with what’s underneath the anger, to feel the hurt and breathe it through it, and then speak only once you’ve found your peace again.

It’s hard because your ego wants to avoid the hurt and vulnerability and instead to just let the chaos rip.

But on this feminine healing path, your ego is not in control; your soul is.

And that’s the work.

One thing I help my clients do is learn how to create that calm within themselves.Through movement, breathwork, and grounding practices. They learn how to find their still point.

Because when you’re calm, you’re rooted.You’re safe in yourself.So even if your partner doesn’t respond the way you hope, you stay steady.

Remember, your anger isn’t wrong. It’s not bad.It’s a messenger usually whispering something like…I’m not being heard. I’m not being respected. Something’s not right.

But that doesn’t mean you have to deliver the message when it’s burning inside of you.

Because if you want your message to land, wait until the fire settles.

Let it cool.Let your body breathe.Let your heart open.

Then speak.That’s when your truth gets heard.

Having something like this has been a dream of mine for so long, but if I’m honest, I kept running from it.I kept telling myself I needed to learn more, or that I wasn’t ready yet.

But what I realized over my summer of healing is that it wasn’t really about not being ready.It was my rejection wound trying to protect me.

There’s a special kind of vulnerability that comes with starting something new, especially something close to your heart.My mind would whisper, What if no one joins? What if it fails? What if I embarrass myself?

And underneath all that was fear.Not fear of failing but fear of being rejected and feeling unwanted.

I thought I had already healed that wound years ago. I’d done so much work around abandonment and feeling unwanted. It helped me open my heart and attract a loving relationship.But this summer showed me my rejection wound was still alive, hiding under the surface, sitting right there in my root.

Y’all, it was so freaking painful to look at it, but I stayed with it.And I began to see that every time I doubted myself, every time I let fear win and didn’t start this school, I was rejecting myself.I was rejecting my soul’s calling.

Once I saw that, I couldn’t unsee it, I and I went to work to transmute that energy. All the tears, kundalini yoga, and chakra work paid off because here we are.

Here’s what I’ve learned:We think fear is keeping us safe, but sometimes it’s standing in the way of the very thing our soul has been asking for.

If we want to dissolve fear, we can’t keep running from it we have to walk straight toward it and dive into it.That’s how we take our power back.

There’s still a chance none of this turns out how I imagine and I fall flat on my face, but I’m done letting fear decide for me.My version of winning now is just showing up and doing what my soul wants, even when fear’s still knocking at the door.

And if you’ve ever struggled with rejection too, here’s what I want you to remember:

Healing that wound starts with you.It’s not about other people wanting you and staying.It’s about you staying with yourself.

So, no more rejecting your dreams, your needs, or your desires.

Whatever it is, run toward it, not away from it.That’s where your freedom is.

And I know there are so many women still living like that.

It breaks my heart.

7 years ago when I first started working with women, I was a Radical Forgiveness Coach helping them forgive their parents and partners.

But what always felt the most sacred was watching them forgive themselves and them seeing their own beauty, maybe for the first time.

I loved seeing the light that came into their eyes, that said “oh… maybe I am wonderful.” I would get so hyped and that’s the magic I’m after.

Those moments helped me I realize what really matters to me: and it’s helping women heal their relationship with themselves (come home to themselves).

So I dreamed up this space, this temple, this online sanctuary, where women can come to reconnect with themselves, to reawaken the parts of them that have been dimmed by life, love, or their own self-neglect.

Because when we’ve been overdoing, over-giving, living in survival mode, and moving through life’s disappointments and heartbreak…our essence gets dulled. We build walls. We forget what it feels like to be sensual, joyful and alive.

The Self-Healing School is here to change that.
