There are other versions of this story. The story is fabulous. What makes this version exceptional are the illustrations and the quality of the paper. It is a pleasure to turn each page. Would make a beautiful gift.

One of the most beautiful short stories I have ever read. I love reading it out aloud. It has depth and also a light hardheartedness about it. I think it should be on everyone's bookshelf. The end gives me goosebumps.

What a beautiful and touching story

When I read who the author was...Oscar Wild...I was completely surprised! This is truly a different side of him! Such a touching story...one to be read to our children, our grandchildren, and our great grandchildren! It's a book for all ages to read...I love this book...and now I will be sharing it with my young grandchildren + one on the way!
