This week has been challenging but luckily, I am up for the challenge.  Let's talk about WWB (working while Black) experiences, the reasons that the phrase "let it go" is only meant for the "Frozen" movie, and why we need to help Black children cope during times of social and emotional transitions.

The tragic passing of Kobe and Gianna Bryant, along with 7 others this past week, has made me reflect upon mortality, morality, and the special role of the FATHER within a family unit.  Let’s discuss the pain, power, and purpose of fatherhood and confront the fears that come with it.

Kobe Bryant was my 2nd basketball player of all time, yet, that doesn’t matter.  Gianna is a girl that I have seen on various YouTube clips, highlighting her tenacity on the basketball court.  I have never met Kobe or Gianna, who were two of the nine victims that tragically died Sunday morning in a helicopter crash.  However, I am BLACK FATHER that is emotional enough to explain why this tragedy that occurred so far away hits so close to HOME.  RIP, MAMBAS...:(
