Today we look at a disturbing trend that is making its way back into the church, that is clergy and bishops taking it upon themselves to deny giving communion to public officials who have stances on social issues that they disagree with. We look at why this is wrong and what Jesus would have done about it.

Today we look at the Gospel reading for March 5, 2023 that contains the one verse we all know by heart, John 3:16 but we also look at the verse that came after it and how our mission in life is defined by those two verses. We also look at how the love we are to show everyone is laid out in those verses.

In today's episode we look local at serving our neighbors, no matter their circumstances. In the first half we look at the scripture reading from Matthew 25 about seeing Christ in our neighbors and helping the least of these and how serving the homeless is not just the right thing to do, it is our Christian duty. In the second half, I have a conversation with the president of the board of the Friends of the Homeless of Tuscarawas County about their current situation and their desire to build a new facility.
