Scripture:John 15:26 When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me.
· Locus of Control
· The internal locus of control is when we have a say in our decision making that impacts our relationship.
· The external locus of control is when the decision making is not ours to make. Someone else is making decisions in our lives.
It can lead to depression (Discuss)
It can lead to anxiety “
It can create the compliant child “
· (From The Experimental Theology Blog) In summary, when life gets difficult it helps to have an internal locus of control. You'll be active and engaged in fighting back. By contrast, an external locus of control--waiting for Powerful Others to fix it or feeling set upon by the gods--will keep you passive and inactive.
